Philippines Survey says that three personalities top notched the list of the most credible endorsers in the Philippines for 2010. To top it all, Manny "Pacman" Pacquaio named as the most credible conducted by the Synergy Business Consultancy. After taking the 8 World Boxing titles, Manny has no doubt captured the trust of products/services and consumers garnering 47% respondents reported by ABS-CBNNews.com

Philippine Official Holidays in December 2010

Jump for joy for a successive holidays this month! Long vacation awaits everybody.

Malacanang recently released a list of official holidays for the month of December 2010. It will officially start in December 24 and ends in January 3, 2011. Between this week are three working holidays: December 28, 29, and 30. Rizal Day (Dec. 30) is moved to December 27 (Monday).

Official Holidays are:
December 24 (Additional Special Non-Working Day);
Saturday, December 25 (Christmas day; Regular Holiday);
Friday, December 31 (Last Day of the Year; Special Non working day)
Saturday, January 1 (non-Working Day)
Sunday, January 2 (non-working day)

Royal Engagement Portrait: Prince William and Catherine Middleton


The royal wedding is scheduled in Spring 2011. Prince William, heir to the throne of Buckingham Palace and his commoner girlfriend, Catherine Middleton, posed for their engagement portrait last November 25 in St. James Palace, London. Catherine posed with her engagement ring made of platinum and blue oval sapphire surrounded with little diamonds sparkling visibly on the portrait. The ring belonged to the late Princess Diana, William's mother.

It was said that the couple secretly made a pact during their tour in Seychelles last three years ago that they will get married. A grandiose wedding is indeed worth anticipating for two lovers who are greatly inlove with each other. May it be a fairy tale love story. Read more...

Facebook holds the Best Hacker Contest

The world's networking giant, Facebook, is launching a software coding contest named "Hackers Cup" where contenders around the world online will fight for the 25 slots for the final round to be held in California. The competition will have sets of online rounds that will start off in January and will end in March in the Facebook campus in Silicon Valley of Palo Alto. The competition promises cash, fame and visit to the Facebook headquarters in California.

The grand prize winner will receive $5000. He/She will definitely land Facebook job.

Christmas Gifts Mostly Wanted by Children

I had actually listed the names of my godchildren a month ago but until now I have not bought anything yet as presents. It still confuses me which gift is best to give them. Then I suddenly tuned in to a television program listing the three common things little boys and girls would love to receive this Christmas.

For little boys: board games, matchbox, balls
For little girls: makeup kit toys, stuffed toys, dolls

Great! Now I have idea what to buy this early season. I hate Christmas rush so I better run into malls today. Gotta go!

Facebook New Profile

In the struggle to render innovation and freshness, Facebook recently launched their new profile look to millions of its users. The new look's goal is convenience and easier sharing of updates. The most distinguished change you noticed is the row of recently tagged and uploaded photos displayed on top of the profile page.

While some had upgraded their profile page to the new look, some opted to remain in the old version as they wanted it more and were reluctant with the change, which needs them to learn where and which to click around. Whichever it is, the most important concern will always be the privacy of users. I hope Facebook did not sacrifice security and privacy over interface, which I believe did not.
